Error inetrex admx



You have installed Internet Explorer 11 on a Windows 7 computer.


When you run gpmc.msc or rsop.msc the following error appears: (in German) Bei der Analyse ist ein Fehler aufgetreten.





This behavior may be caused by different language settings on the policy server and the client computer.


  1. Copy the ADML server language version to client language version. E.g. if the server has English-US OS installed, and the computer German-Germany copy inetres.adml from C:\Windows\PolicyDefinitions\en-US to C:\Windows\PolicyDefinitions\de-DE after renaming the original file
  2. If this doesn’t help copy the inetres.admx and inetres.adml files from the server to the local computer’s folders C:\Windows\PolicyDefinitions and C:\Windows\PolicyDefinitions\de-DE respectively. This is the recommended workaround if the server runs 2012 R2 edition.
